Current Research Trials
No longer is the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis limited to anti-inflammatory or pain medications.
There is new hope. New advances in research potentially provide long-term enhancements to your quality of life. Our Mayfield office has a well-trained, experienced research team currently participating in studies designed to increase the understanding of causes and therapies in rheumatology. Qualified participants will receive study-related medications, medical exams, x-rays and lab tests at no cost. Participants in clinical trials are closely monitored in our office by our dedicated research staff.
We are currently participating in clinical trials in the following areas:
- Gout
- Osteoarthritis (O/A)
- Osteoporosis
- Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
Several studies are under way at our Mayfield Village office to test new biologic therapies for the treatment of moderate to severe RA.
Some of the trials offer longer extension periods of 2 -5 or even 10 years of treatment. This has enabled patients to benefit from these ‘life changing therapies’ like Enbrel or Humira under careful medical supervision at no medical expense.
New research opportunities are continually opening up throughout the year; we welcome you to contact any of the following research personnel for detailed study information:
- Pamela Suhan, RN, CCRC Research Manager – (440) 449-8277 ext.212
- Pat Scott Research Assistant – (440) 449-8277 ext 226
